Our purpose is simple: to build the best gym in the world. Knowing that a gym is only as strong as the community that supports it, we are committed to providing world-class coaching, programming and customer service. It is our goal to take people from point A to point B – from where they are to where they want to go. We offer two programs: Karhu CrossFit and Karhu Method.

Jääkarhu Bears & Friends! We have some big news and a big opportunity for all of you! We have been working with Patrick Estes, Aaron Davis and Bri Larson for the past 3 years. They have been a great addition to our gym, and we love having them in the space. They are experts in their field, perpetual students and teachers, and are some of the smartest people we have ever met. • Starting in October, CrossFit Jääkarhu and Train Adapt Evolve (@trainadaptevolve) will be partnering up to offer you what we believe is the best Nutrition guidance and coaching out there. • Coach Davis and Coach Estes have been beta-testing, practicing and refining their nutrition program over the last several years, and they are ready to release it to the public. • NUTRITION ENGINEERING, by Train Adapt Evolve. • Individualized nutrition plans centered around your schedule and workouts. • $175/mo individualized nutrition coaching. • • Get involved by e-mailing them: [email protected] • This will be limited to the first 25 people to sign up by October 1st. September Athlete of the Month, @stefan.shilgalis!! Stefan is and has been a staple in our community for a very long time. He always shows up happy, never complains and is 100% always in a good mood. Congrats!! Q: How long have I been doing crossfit? A: I started during the summer of 2012 so it’s been 6 years! • Q: How did I get into it? A: My girlfriend at the time brought me to a garage gym she trained at in San Antonio. This couple would run workouts out of their garage and I ended up coaching at their first box. They still run a thriving box in San Antonio called Crossfit 925. • Q: What is my fav movement / workout? A: Snatch is my favorite movement. I haven’t PRd it in a couple years but I love the movement. Favorite workout is Nancy which is 5 rounds for time 400m run + 15 OHS at 95 lbs. Love that one. • • 📸: @ltevebaugh

Really prep for any exercise that puts the hips through a dynamic range of motion. _____________________ ••• _____________________ I love warm-ups that Knock out a few birds with one stone. October Athlete of the Month: Malorie Bacon AKA @unique_physique !!!! • • You only continue to surprise us all, this is well deserved! • Q: How long have you been doing CrossFit? A: 4 months. • Q: How did you get into it? A: Earlier this year I had a concussion while training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I took some time off to recover and started looking for a new, physical outlet. I knew a friend who did crossfit and started talking to her about it. I had never tried crossfit and always felt like I wasn't strong enough for it. I explained my hesitation to her, but she said the workouts could be modified until you could do the work outs as prescribed. I tried it out and immediately loved it. • Q: What is your favorite movement? A: Squats are my favorite movement! I'm stoked to say I just PRd on back squats this past week! As for workouts, my favorites are typically chippers. • • Well done Malorie, your hard work always pays off 💪🏽
